The Story of Walking Stick Xiao by WONG Wai-ming
是奇緣也！秀竹手杖，寄塵扶桑，扶持步履，解困人寰；飽覽無限風光，盡嚐幾許滄桑；歷練百年，飄洋中土一隅，遇王偉明君鏤刻為簫，冀以清音滌慮，頤養心神。
徐業成醫生詩云:
昔持步履穩，今轉繞樑音，
百年不朽木，無悔度此生！
簫如人，詩如人。醫者之心，仁者之心，以詩喻志，余輩聞之仰止。
籦籠本草芥，奇生乎峻岩絕壁，餐風飲露，鍛其筋骨；猿啼虎嘯，煉其心志；蓄山野之靈氣，滙日月之精光；俟其長也，刀砍斧斫，然後成器；百世千生，歷劫不磨。簫者習簫，籦籠為師，以心印心，無言之教，受用無窮也。

Relax, this very-big-opening does not have to be covered, I know your chin is not big enough.
竹子內徑三厘米。 別擔心, 我的下巴也不見得特別大。
藝術上，「很大」或「很小」是有意思的。Size MATTERS.
低音D調，八孔，筒音A頻率110Hz，指法跟一般洞簫沒有分別。
No keys, nor levers, nothing changed, except its SIZE. It still is the simplest instrument I know.
And I like it.

戊戌秋日，隨興鏤簫，器成，幾與人齊，二人同擫，立地而吹。其聲也：深沉渾厚、溫潤有情，描佛意寫禪境兮，直指心而益切；述達摩表心跡兮，其殷殷再難摹。同心共德，連袂合步，始成曲調，洞簫雅集，庶幾如此。鑒其情，取其用，此器也，遂名之曰[同德簫]。從此名器樹德，群賢翹首，是為記。
